James Dempsy Obituary

Dempsey James Edward Dempsey, went to be with Lord Sunday December 22, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. Graduated from Cincinnati Christian University (Cincinnati Bible Seminary) and preached for 52 years in Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Ohio, retiring as associate minister at Worthington Christian Church in 2006. Preceded in death by parents Clarence and Alma Sponcil Dempsey and infant sister Francis Rae; grandparents France and Eliza Dempsey and Frances and Minnie Sponcil, all of Nicholasville, Kentucky; survived by beloved wife, Janice R. Dempsey; daughter, Kelley Lynn (Bill) Massey; son Mark Dempsey (Teresa); grandsons, Anthony Massey, Seth McMillin, Andrew Dempsey, Joshua Dempsey; and great grand daughter Alaina McMillin; sister, Nancy (Bob) Browning; sister and brother in law Joyce (Floyd) Hutcheson and nephews and nieces in Illinois and Oklahoma. Family will receive friends at The Worthington Christian Church 8145 N. High St Columbus, Ohio 43235 December 26 Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Burial will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pinewood Cemetery, Evans City, PA. Brothers Marshall Hayden and David Roberson officiating. Memorials can be made to Worthington Christian Church or Kobacker House.
