James Kee, Sr., age 88, was called home to be with the Lord on December 26, 2018. Member of New Faith Baptist Church and retired from the City of Columbus. He is preceded in death by parents James and Easter Kee, wife Johnnie Mae Kee, sons JaJuan Kee and James Kee, Jr. and 9 siblings. Survived by devoted children, Jennifer (Tony) Tyson, Dr. Jefferey P. Kee, Jacquelyn (Billy) Reedus, Jameel (Dr. Philip) James, and Joreece Kee; siblings, Rev. Napoleon (Joyce) Kee and Beatrice Trent; sister-in-law, Ollie Mae Kee; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. A Wake will be held 6-8 PM Friday, January 4, 2019 at New Faith Baptist Church 955 Oak St. Cols., OH. Viewing 8:30 AM and Home-going Celebration 9 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at New Faith Baptist Church. Interment Glen Rest Estates. Arrangements entrusted to SMOOT FUNERAL SERVICES, 4019 E. I had the pleasure or working with James Kee at the City of Columbus. He was a wonderful person with whom to work and he valued his family. I know that God has favored him with a grand celebration in Heaven. My prayers and condolences are with the family of James Kee and all the friends and Christians that knew him.

Sorry to hear of James' passing, I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us.
