James Louden Obituary

Louden James Russell Louden, Sr., 78, reached out and took the hand of God on Thursday, June 30, 2016 to be led to a much better place after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was at home surrounded by family members who loved him dearly. Jim was born March 22, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to Howard Taft Louden and Alene (Spurr) Louden Harvey and as a young boy moved with his family to the Sulphur, Kentucky area where he was raised. Jim is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Isaac Louden, his brothers-in-law John Mooreland and Mike Roberts. Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Connie, who loved him with all her heart and soul; and father-in-law, Paul "Pops" Sech. He also is survived by daughters, Pamela (Jeffery) Gergal and Dawn (Darrell) Robinson; grandchildren, Caramela, Cassie and Evan; as well as daughter, Candice Louden; and son, Jim (Carolyn) Louden, Jr. and family. Surviving siblings include Wanda Mooreland, Deloris Roberts, Charlene Aldridge, David (Brenda), Lenny (Molly), and Jody (Joyce) Louden; brothers-in-law, Paul (Jane) and Charles (Tammy) Sech. Jim had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who he loved dearly. Jim worked at John Deere Co. for over 30 years and was proud to be a green and yellow man. He was so proud of all his "Deere" friends who became family to him over the years that he cherished dearly and he loved going to the monthly Deere breakfast to sit and chat. Jim loved to hunt and fish with his buddies in Jackson, OH and as he always said that being outdoors listening to the birds and just sitting there is the real joy of life. The family would like to thank all our friends and family members, along with the staff of the James Cancer Hospital who prayed, was there for us by just listening and offering to help and helping us along this chapter of our lives. Funeral Service 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6 at O.R. WOODYARD CO., 1346 S. High Street, where friends may call 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5. Pastor John Palmer officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. Connie and family, my heart is full of sadness as we mourn the passing of Jim. He was a soft-spoken man with a huge heart and smile. Always willing to help those in need even if only just to listen to our problems. Our Deere Family is growing by the numbers in heaven and I know Jim will find his loved ones and Deere Family waiting for him. As the days go by May you find comfort through family and friends to help your heart heal by the silence you feel. Jim's Love for you was so great there is no doubt he will be watching over you.
My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you and the family.
Love an Hugs Sherri
