Yearling James C. Yearling. A memorial service, celebrating the life of James C. Yearling, age 76, of Pataskala, will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. James passed away on February 4, 2016 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab Center in Newark. He was born in Columbus on July 31, 1939 to the late Curtis and Elma (Schneider) Yearling. James proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Prior to retirement, he was a systems engineer with IBM for over 25 years. He also worked at BancOhio/National City Bank for many years after retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raised Haflinger horses, and volunteered at the Hartford Fair horse shows. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Carol J. (Ralph) Yearling, whom he married November 17, 1973; son and daughter-in-law, Kurt G. and Michelle Yearling; granddaughter, Halen Swickard; and one sister, Eloise Yearling.
