Jeri McCarthy Obituary

McCarthy Jeri Ann (Robb) McCarthy, born September 25, 1952, died March 3, 2017, in the Palliative Care Unit of Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Preceded in death by parents James and June Robb. Survived by loving husband of 27 years, Dennis C. McCarthy; sister, Jo Ellyn (Howland) Packard; nephews, Clynt and Keith (Theresa) Packard; their children, Kyle, Adam, and Loralei; many friends. Graduate, Whetstone High School; attended Ohio State, Capital, and Ohio universities. Accountants' bookkeeper for more than 25 years with McVey, Sorenson Accounting. Jeri had a smile that could light up a room. She loved gardening, was an avid "foodie," and was involved with numerous charities. The family will receive friends at a memorial celebration of her life Sunday, May 14, 12-4 p.m., Antrim Park Shelter House, 5800 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus 43085. I was very saddened to learn of Jeri's passing. I knew Jeri and her sister Jo when she was a small child and we were neighbors. Many hours all of us playing together as kids. My condolences to her family.
