Jim John Deutschle, age 86, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at his home. Veteran U.S. Air Force, Korean Conflict. Retired from DKM as Plant Manager after 25 years of service. Member of Northern Kiwanis. Jim, a gentle man with a quick wit, quiet demeanor, and unique wisdom has left us with many fond memories. Preceded in death by parents Joseph and Myrtle, brother Joseph, Jr., son Thomas E. and granddaughter Fanní Marie Deutschle. Survived by wife of 65 years, Barbara; sons, James J. (Frances), Jr., William A., and Andrew V. (Carol); daughter, Gretchen M. Deutschle; grandchildren, Benjamin T. (Kris) and Jonathan E. (Taylor); great-grandchildren, Sage J., Mae F., Sebastian X., Lucas R., and Sarah S. Deutschle; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those whom have helped care for Jim including Dr. Denise Blocker, M.D., National Church Residents, and the home-care givers. A Celebration of Life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH 43215.
