John Bell Obituary

BELL John F. Bell, 82, of Circleville, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Berger Hospital. He was born September 29, 1928 in Pickaway County, the son of the late Nelson Dresbach and Iva Rebecca (Lanman) Bell. A lifelong farmer, John enjoyed the outdoors and especially liked to go fishing whether at home in the pond or on a boat at Lake Erie. He loved hunting, trap shooting and talking to people, but his greatest joy was his family. John was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #23 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his son Donnie in 1996. John is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Kinney) Bell; sons, Mike (Shirley) Bell, Ron (Barb) Bell, Bob (Sue) Bell and Roger (Cindy) Bell; grandchildren, Jeremy, Heather, Katie, Brandi, Jackie, Amanda, Brian, Rebecca and Erica; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Nelson (Karen) Bell, Jr. of Delta; and a sister, Jane Schwendeman of Lancaster. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME, 151 E. Main St., Circleville with Rev. Ervin Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral where a Masonic Service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43221.
