John Bigerton Obituary

Bigerton John David Bigerton, age 85, of Canal Winchester, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Emeritus at Lakeview in Groveport. Born January 16, 1928 in Canal Winchester to the late Archie and Mary (Crabbs) Bigerton, he was a 1946 graduate of Canal Winchester High School and was a life-long farmer. Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Anna L. "Midge" Bigerton in 2005; son-in-law Gary Phillips; brother, Glen Bigerton; and sister, Ann Corbin. He is survived by children, June (Thomas) Crawford, Nancy (Ernest) Garcia, both of Sacramento, CA, Mike (Donna) Bigerton, Boynton Beach, FL, Peggy Phillips, Kings Mills; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; brother, George (Marguerite "Maggie") Bigerton, Carroll; sisters, Agnes Bigerton-Bergeron and Martha Muncie, both of Canal Winchester; nieces and nephews. Friends may visit 6-9 p.m. Friday, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor David Long-Higgins officiating. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.
