Grandpa..... where do I begin? Hearing the words "I love you" and "I'm proud of you" still ring in my ear. Those words that you said to me are words I soooo badly needed to hear from you all of my life.... and they couldn't have come at a better time. I want so bad to scream at God for taking you.... but I know how much pain you were in.... and to God I can only say "Thank-You". Even though it took 30-some-odd-years to realize it.... I know you loved me! You passed down your charm, your wit, and your ability to think outside-the-box. For those of us here, just know we miss you and there's not a day goes by that we don't think about you! I am blessed to have your blood running through my veins. I am blessed that the Lord gave all of us the the chance to hug, love, and say good-bye to you! I will continue to make you proud... while you sit up there in your shoes... eating beans, beer,fart-tarts, and those white tic-tacs! Grandpa, I LOVE YOU

Grandpa,
I will always remember the good times I had staying with you on the weekends watching you work your magic on fixing anything and everything in your garage on charles drive. The bike you gave me when we made a deal that I would cut my hair short. We all knew how much you loved my long hair. I know now that you are in a much better place. Just dont give Toby and Honz too much icecream. I will never forget you.

For Grandpa:
"We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."

It's always difficult to think of your father as a real adult person when you're a child.....fathers always seem larger than life. Daddy was no different. I was blessed to be able to understand and appreciate most, if not all, of the many life lessons he tried so hard to teach me long before Alzheimer's and failing health took away his sharp mind, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to tell him how much his guidance meant to me. Daddy's strong will and dogged determination have contributed immensely to making me the adult I'm proud to say that I am today. I am so thankful to God for allowing me the opportunity to see Daddy and kiss him good-bye before God called him home. I look forward to the day I will see him again.
Jack Billups may indeed be gone from this Earth, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family members. And Daddy's quick wit and unbridled sense of humor will continue to reside proudly on the lips of his children and their children for years and years to come.

Grandpa,
I feel honored that I was able to come up with C.J. on your last night with us. We were able to come and tell you one more time how much we love you! I love you more than there are words to describe it. I will miss you every day! Whenever I have something smart to say, I will remember who taught me to be that way! You were the best teacher, in so many ways, I could've had!
I will always remember sitting at the table with you in them mornings and laughing at all of the things you had to say! You were a great man! One of the best men I had ever met! And I was so lucky to be able to call you my Grandpa! I wouldn't have had it any other way!
Don't worry about us, we will all stick together, looking out for eachother! You taught us right, Grandpa! We will think of you often, and remember all of the laughs you gave us! Hey....when you see Jesus.....try not to laugh so hard that you cry when you tell him of the time you took us to the zoo!!!!! I love you Grandpa!!!!

I remember when Jack was the sales manager at Southgate VW in Heath..
That was back in the 70's
I bought cars for Davidson-Green VW
and he sold me plenty... Even bought a 79 VW Rabbit from him for my wife.
He once to me a story about the time he met Polly Bergen when he flew for Lear Jets for Lane...
What a great man....

I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. Jack was one of my Instrutors in a Cessna 140 at Lane Aviation in 1952/53. That Lane hanger later became EJA's number one Hanger when I stared flying for EJA in 1988. As a 15/16 year student pilot, I really looked up to Jack with great reverance.

My son, Seth Webb, and I are truly sorry to learn of Jack's passing. I remember 20 years ago when you and Jack watched Seth for me after school. You were wonderful neighbors and friends. We extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family during this difficult time.

We are sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I have many memories of the past when Jack and I learned to fly at Lane Aviation. I miss those days. It was through Jack that I met Elisabeth. Though I haven't been in contact with Jack for many years, I will always cherish those memories.
