Debbie and Children,
John was my weightlifting coach at New Albany High School. He was a great mentor, and helped realize my potential not only in athletics, but also in life. I attribute a great deal of my successes in life to the lessons he taught me. I will keep you in my prayers.

Coach Boldin was/is my biggest mentor and motivator. He pushed me to do things I never thought were possible. He coached me for 2 yrs in football at NAHS and I loved every minute of it. My deepest sympathies for you and your children Debbie. He made a HUGE impact on my life.

John was an amazing man of god and an amazing role model, He tought me alot in the short time we had to work on drama together and i will never forget his guidance, you could see his love for god come out in his teachings, when he shared his story with the youth on wednesday night and even when he just talked to you on a daily basis. i feel that i as so luky to have him in my church family to look up to and i am going to miss him dearly, and to the family i am so sorry for your loss, i love you all so much you are a part of my family and you will always have our church to be here for you. just know your family is in my prayers and thoughts. i love you all.

Debbie and children,
We are old friends of John's and were shocked to read this notice in the paper. John played football for me at West Virginia Wesleyan College and he was one of my assistant coaches at New Albany High School. John did a wonderful job with our strength and conditioning program and motivating our athletes. He had a heart as big as all outdoors. We shared many laughs together. Our hearts go out to you and the children. You'll all be in our thoughts and prayers.
