John Shaloo Obituary
1942 - 20121
John F. "Jack" Shaloo, age 79, of Baltimore, died Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born May 25, 1942 in Columbus to the late Virgil and Vera (Fridrich) Shaloo, he was a graduate of Rosary High School and Franklin University. He served in the Ohio Air National Guard, and was retired from Ameritech with over 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, the Reynoldsburg VFW, Pickerington American Legion, and Columbus Ski Club. Jack is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Shaloo; son, Tim (Pamila) Shaloo, Pleasantville; grandchildren, Teresa M. Shaloo and Steven T. Shaloo; sister, Virginia (Jerry) Jorgensen; brother-in-law, William (Joyce) Harding; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Christina Marie Shaloo in 1990, and his brother David Shaloo. A celebration of life will be held on August 29, 2021 from 1-5pm at the American Legion Post #283, 7725 Refugee Rd, Pickerington, OH 43147. Interment will take place later at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to their favorite charity in Jack's memory.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Shaloo. I have tried to visit you a few times when I'm in Ohio but guess I have missed you. I hope you are doing well otherwise.

My deepest sympathies to the family. Jack was a very "special" person to me as was all his family. Thank you Jack for all the wonderful memories our two families made over the 51 years of friendship. I will always hold them dear to me.
