My sincere condolences go out to Gary & Janice Shook and family. I remember back in 1967 when I delivered the Columbus Dispatch newspaper and John and Ann were customers on my paper route. Some days as I would peddle my bicycle down Ebner Street loaded down with papers, I would see John sitting on his front porch whiling away the time and patiently waiting on the newspaper. John would always smile and would say hello. On the grueling warm days of summer, he would offer a glass of refreshing ice water. John was a kind and respected man. Everyone I knew liked him. I am truly sorry for your loss.

John was such a wonderful gentleman. He was so faithful in coming to church. I always went up to talk to him before Mass. I will miss him but know he id with Jesus.
