Missing you Juanita my dear oldest sister. There once were 6 of us but now only 5 remains. I still cherish the sweet memories we shared together. I miss receiving your calls and my calling you. I think of you often being with mom and dad and David. Every now and then I would run across pictures of you and them and my eyes would tear up a bit but I say to myself, it's ok Bonnie that's the love of your heart for them. Then I began to smile cause I can still feel you within my heart. Even now I tear up while writing these words. I keep the picture of you and I on John's motorcycle of long ago when we visited you in Ohio and went to the park. That's my keepsake photo to pull out and look at whenever I'm in a lil down funk mood and it tends to lift my spirits back up. I truly do miss all of us girls being silly and sincere together. Life will never be the same. But life goes on. So until we all meet again up yonder I love and miss my departed family members. Save a seat for me. Hello Juanita, I often think of you and look at photos of the good times we shared together and I even shed a few tears because I miss you being here with us and I think of the phone calls we made to each other and try to imagine hearing your voice again. You are the first of the 12 to leave and join mom and dad as well as other relatives. We miss you so much. God needed you now so we had to let go and let God entertain you in a new place. Every now and then I would pull this photo out of you, mom and dad together at home in Tchula and just start smiling and then I would shed a tear or twenty and then commence to smiling again. The 11 of us are holding it together until we meet again. Love you big sis from baby sis,Bonnie.

I miss you so much. I spent the summer in Tennessee with my older two sisters now that you're gone. We had a good reunion in July this year & it was in Mississippi too. It was great too. You were missed dearly. They asked about your kids. I lost so much family this year I just had to get away for a while. I'm back now but I miss the girls & the fun we had. Them & that golden girls club they're in. It was fun. Missing you. Love ya always .

Hello Juanita we had memorial dinner at my home on Monday & your family was here also. We had a memorial tape of you from uncle Jessie kids. Your kids like looking at you young & alive at that time. Hi Juanita aka juanii I miss you today & Every day. Its Mothers day tomorrow & I miss our Mothers Day dinners together @ your favorite spot. Elizabeth aka Liz passed away after Uncle Jessie Hayes passed. I got back from his funeral & she was gone home. She is at peace now like you, David, Dad, Mom & Recent Uncle Jessie. Oh how I miss all yall so so much & love ya so so much. The sisters & I always talk about even today. We'll keep you valaided for sure Juanii, thats one thing we do as sisters. Hello My Sister: I & We miss you dearly. As of today I added another year on line for our & Your family. Tomorrow is your memorial services that I along With Florence help me planned for you. Of course your sisters especially me do thangs in an orderly fashion as we were tought. we hope this will bring some kind of closure to your children & grand children. You rushed your way up out of here girl so, we really especially me, didn't get a proper chance to say good bye & we miss you a lot. you are normally here for me through every thing, but when stevie had his accident last month I needed you, but your prayers was all I needed to get by. When I think of you & your long & hard struggles through life, it gives me a new aspect on life in general. You were my inspiration as a 19 yr old young lady. you deserve the best Memorial Service ever. Every one should send a card that wasn't coming & the ones here will bring food & we will rejoice as if you were just leaving earth ok "Juanii: nothing but the best for you. Hi Juanii well its me again. I guess every one will say I love to write & talk. You know that keeps me grounded from my health. I can focus on other things & not worry about me. well Juanii we won the Presidency Election 2012 again. Barak Obama got it 4 more years now. I prayed until the last minuite when ohio declaired him winner. Girl your spiritual vote counted. God was in the plan. I saw my president share a tear, he really feels for us the people of all these united states. He felt really sad for all the people the bad storm destroyed their holmes, their lives, their families, their hope. God will prevail. I was destroyed on sept 30, 2012 that day I saw our family fall apart with grief. We had never lost a sister before that was new for us a large task. girl your family is missing ya. I wish I had the power to make every thing better for them & us, but i dont. It will take a long time to ajust to living with out you ,but we will move on, but you'll never be forgotton ever ever in my life time. You're there with my son Dave now yall take care of each other & I'll in term do the same here for you. You live on in my dreams always. Thanks for the heads up, didnt know what it meaant until I got to the hospital that day & saw you, & then I knew what that dream I had about you meant. I'm glad you have no more pain really cause pain aint no joke. just ask me right cause you've been there through it all with me since 1975 sister. I'm glad you my dear sister Juanii you was there for me through every trial & tribulation, every surgery, every pain wheather it was my allergies or taking me to the emergency room all the time. You my dear sister was a trooper in my eyes. Lord I miss that & the fussing telling me what I should or shouldnt do. although I hated it then, I miss it now. I dialed your no the other day to tell you about the election & had to hang up for got for a moment in time you werent there. so use to doing that. See I cant talk to Wes the way we talk sister talk. There are not words to express how appreciative I am of Mrs. Cartharn. She was always there with the van ready to help us girls do whatever we had planned. Whether it was a baby shower or barbecue. She was the mother of my best friend and she raised incredible children. She is an example for me as a wife, mother and Christian. While it was hard to let her go, we have comfort that we will see her again. I could not be more thankful that my best friend had such a wonderful woman for a mommy :)

To Cornelius, Keona, Krystal, Kalisha and all of Juanita's lovely grandchildren: God has called Juanita home to rest because He promised her a "Home Over There." Grieve if you must; moreover, you may even feel as though God has abandoned you at this time. But I will assure you that God will keep His promise from Hebrews 13:5 "I will never leave you never will I forsake you. It is no harm to weep when the need arises because even Jesus Himself wept at the death of His friend Lazarus in John 11:35. We all, including her 11 siblings, were attached to Juanita and are going to experience various emotions on different levels such as physical, emotional, spiritual, behavioral and mental. I encourage all to take charge of your life and grief, and find new ways of functioning without our dear Juanita, but preserve your memories of everything that you shared with her. We must seek to find meaning in life again inspite of our loss and pain, thereby allowing ourselves to feel the joy of life again without feeling guilty. I realize that we did not have a choice about what we're presently experiencing, but we do have a choice about how we respond to it. Let's rely on God, and remember that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Farewell Juanita. I love and miss you dearly, but will always remember and cherish the lovely childhood and adulthood we shared as sisters! always and forever, your hipbaby

Juanita, what can I say that haven't been said already? I will truly miss my weekly phone calls from my big sister. Now you have nothing more to fuss about. Its all good though. I have my three girls to call now.It's pretty rough some days, but I know God never puts more on us than we can bear. I do miss and love you. Dear Cornelius, Keyona, Krystal, & Kalisha & Those beautiful Grand Children Juanita left behind. I too & the whole Russell family have lost our dear oldest singing sister. She made the group of the 6 sisters perfect when we sang. That we will miss a lot. Its just the 5 girls & 6 boys now. that perfect 12 is no more now. She's in no more pain. I except that she is at peace & in a better place now, with her other (brother & Sister)-(Linton & Elois Russell) They are all together now in heaven W/Dad-Jesse Sr, Mom-Erma Ave & Nephew: David Russell the list has gotton longer.
