Judy Brack Obituary

Brack Ms. Judy Carol (Johnson) Brack, died peacefully on April 7, 2015 after a brief illness with family by her side. Judy was born October 3, 1938 in Statesboro, GA. She was drawn to the sea and spent the last 21 years in Destin, FL to be near the ocean and river systems of Northwest Florida. She loved the tranquility of the area and named her business (which specialized in seawall, dock and maritime construction) after this special place. She adored her family. She was adventurous and passionate about beach combing, nature, gardening, music, kayaking, reading, cooking, yoga and has provided the family with a treasure of extensive genealogy records. Judy also loved to play action adventure video games. Her impeccable sense of style and flair and giving generously of her time and talents to those around her will be deeply missed. Judy's love language was gift giving and now her creative art of carefully prepared care packages will also be missed. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Paul Hines and Minnie B. Johnson, as well as her brothers Herschel Monroe and John Paul Johnson. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Brack) Lyle (Rick), Forest Grove, OR; and her son, Carl Brack, Jr. (Emi), Bexley, OH; grandchildren, Allen Lyle (Norcross, GA) Holly Lyle (Atlanta, GA), Alex Brack (Evansville, IN) and Evan Brack (Columbus, OH); sisters, Leone J. Johnson, Twin City, GA, Betty J. Bunch, Statesboro, GA, Shirley J. Allen, Crystal River, FL and Carrie J. Welter (Dave), Augusta, GA; and many nieces and nephews. A seaside private memorial will be held later. Donations in her memory preferred to Pilot Dogs, Inc., www.pilotdogs.org, 625 W Town St., Columbus, OH 43215.

I drove and caregave for Judy in March and April. We had a lot of fun buying Soma lingerie and joyriding after a hospital stay. She was a blast and full of life until the end. I thought she was going to kiss the ground and sunshine when we got into my car with the sunroof open for a ride...RIP my new and dear friend. You make me smile thinking of you...Dance with the dolphins forever and I hope I can finish reading the Eckhart Tolle books you recommended.

She was an intriguing * interesting woman. She would be happy for the Pilot Dog donation, just as she was proud of her fine family

Losing someone as giving and selfless as Ms. Brack can bring unbearable pain. Let time be a healer and may your shared memories bring peace to your grieving hearts. Trust in your heavenly Father, who grieves with you and his promise to return your loved ones to your arms (John 11:1-44).
Most Sincerely,
