Some months ago Karen & I sent each other several emails discussing Barry's Paradise Cafe album..Karen very kindly offered me a copy of the making of the album on video..I was very excited about this & Karen was wonderful too...until we both realised we have a different voltage/wattage system here in the UK to America..we both laughed in our emails about how technically challenged we both are..it was so lovely to be contacted by a someone I have never had the privilege to meet in such a friendly way. I'm sure she is now somewhere in her own Paradise free from suffering...I am truly sorry to David & family for your loss.

Thinking of you

Dear David,

Karen was a wonderful lady and friend. I first met her through the message boards, then in Vegas in July 06. This past January I bought tickets from her so friends of mine could attend the Columbus show. Karen was so kind!

I can't imagine how hard this is for you- but amidst the pain and loss please find moments to celebrate the special person Karen was to each of us ~ friends and family.

In taking Karen, God called an angel home. My prayers are with you and your family.

David,

I have been looking for the right words to write here for the past day now. I have found that their aren't any said "right" words for this. Just know that I will be thinking of you today and always. Karen has given you the strength to get through this and will always be with you. I will always think of her while I listen to "Paradise Cafe" and always.

David, Katie and I just want you to know we are always here if you need anything.

Oh David,

This is the first time in a long time I am at a loss for words but I'll try. I just don't know what to say as I am so stunned.

Karen was one of the nicest people I have ever met and we really had some laughs together. If it wasn't for meeting both of you at the 2006 Barry Manilow Convention, I would have never known the both of you and it certainly would have been MY loss. I can STILL see her the night she introduced herself to me right before the show started. I heard my name called, looked around and all I saw was a hand waving. She got up and came to me and I said, "Have we met before?" She smiled that smile and said, "It's me! Karen Roach!!" We hugged and that was the beginning of it all. We had been emailing but I didn't know who she was. Remember when we had YOU run to get the tables for the afternoon events because you could run the fastest? I have so many memories I will keep with me so she will never be forgotten. Neither will you!

My condolences to you, her family members and all her friends. God give all of you comfort and may Karen rest in peace.

We live on borrowed time....

I will always miss my Aunt Karen. What I will miss most is her laugh. Her laugh grew from her eyes, her bright smile, and once out it made you want to laugh and smile along with her, even if you didn't know what made her so happy. She had a welcoming presence that made you want to be around her always and never leave her side. I will always cherish the time spent with her and will mourn the loss of her presence now and in the future.

"Turn the page Aunt Karen!"

Karen has always had a special place in my heart. She was 6 years old when I met her, when dating Kathy. To see her blossom into the wonderful woman she became, was a gift to me. She will be so sorely missed. My heart now has an empty void that cant be filled. However, the memories of her, will live on with me as long as I am allowed to remain on this earth. Sing with the angels Karen, sing with the angels!
