SLONE Kenneth E. Slone, age 65, of Grove City, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 25, 2009, at his residence, with his fiance and daughter by his side. Preceded in death by his father Everett Slone, brother,James Slone, and sister Marcy Slone. Survived by beloved mother, Virginia Slone; fiance, Peyla Victoria; children, Kenneth (Ruthanne) Slone Jr., and Jade Victoria; grandchildren, Ryan and Lindsey; brothers, Jerry Slone, Ernest (Sharon Marcum) Slone, and Ronnie Slone; sisters, Linda Howell, Pat (Ed) Bates, Sharon Slone, and Valerie (Carl) Chadwell; dear friend, Oliver Ward; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., where family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Pastor Stephen Palmer officiating. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-FRAN, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215. My kenny still missing you. peyla

Dad, each time I play basketball I will remember all the times we played together. Each time I workout I think of you running laps at Hilltonia and doing all those sit-ups and pushups.

Ryan and Lindsey will remember all the special times that you came over and brought special grandpa meals and the toys that they appreciated, you were a good grandfather to them.

Kenny is a wonderful man,I am soo glad I got the pleasure of knowing him!I'm a bartender and he used to come shoot pool with me atleast once or twice a week and drink his water before he became ill.My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Kenny's loved ones he will greatly be missed and in all our thoughts and prayers every day I will miss you Kenny until we meet again

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My uncle kenny was the best of the best . Thats why god took him . he needed someone to watch over everybody . So he took my uncle kenny to be our guardian angel with Marcie and Papaw Everett . Now all we can do is look up at the sky and know that your looking down at us smiling and being proud of us . I love him and we will never forget him . Rest in peace . We love you guys .

my beloved sweet man, we didnt nearly have the time we wanted to love each other but the times we did have will forever be burned in my heart. you are still with me even now I can feel you here.you will be very very missed. your smile is what I will misss the most. and the peace you brought into my heart.I know your waiting for me in heaven with the lord.I'll be there soon to be by your side where I belong.This house is so empty without you but I know your still watching us in spirit.My tears will never dry from missing you. Our lord only picks the very most beautiful fruits from the vine and he wanted you by him sooner than we wanted to let go of you.I know your truely happy and at peace now with no more pain.
