1969 - 2017
Larry "Mike" Knotts, Jr. December 18, 1969-July 14, 2017. A funeral service for Larry "Mike" Knotts, Jr., 47 of Newark, will be held at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Donald J. Matolyak and Pastor Ted Kiger and Robert Brayton officiating. Friends may call 3:00-5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
Larry "Mike" Knotts, Jr. passed away peacefully July 14, 2017 at Hospice of Central Ohio, Newark. He was born December 18, 1969, in Columbus to Larry M. and Linda J. (Scurlock) Knotts, Sr. Mike was an avid drag race car driver and a brown belt in mixed martial arts. He graduated in 1988 from Mifflin High School and was an over the road truck driver for UPS Freight.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Alyssa B. (Powell) Knotts, children, Bri Shanel, Larry Michael "Tristyn" III, Kaylee Rose and Olivia Jayne Knotts, all of the home, mother and father, Larry Michael and Linda J. (Scurlock) Knotts, Sr. of Centerburg, sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Steve Waspe of Centerburg, mother-in-law, Paula Powell of Mt. Vernon. Michael was awesome. It was a joy to watch him develop into such a wonderful husband and father. He leaves behind a legacy with his wife and children. Gone too soon, but forever in our hearts.
