Lefty Parker Obituary

PARKER Lefty Coleman "L.C." Parker, 73, recently received Christ and entered God's kingdom Friday June 12, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Retired from Pinkerton Security in Law Enforcement. Avid musician, played with J.C. Davis Band for many years. Preceded in death by parents Nathan and Leila Parker, wife Mattie Parker, siblings Robbie Foster, Odessa Prowell, Curtis Parker and Juanita Triplett. Surving to cherish his memory children, Dale, Bruce (Gretchen), Beverly, Kerry (Dorothy) and Randall Parker; grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole, Bruce, Majeana, Derrick, Jordan, Kyra, Kennedy, Cristy, Amanda, Randall, Miranda, Mikai and Avery; great-grandchildren, Aniah, Amirah, Amyra and Kiarra; siblings twin sisters, Estella Gregory, Estolla P. Mitchell and Glassie (John) Martin; special friends, J.C. Davis, Clyde Haynie, Joe Whitfield, Barbara Reynolds, Nurses Sherri, Anna and Amy. Celebration of Life service Saturday 10 a.m., Northside Deliverance Church of God, 1790 Cleveland Avenue, where family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Niki Hampton officiating. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery. Services entrusted to McNABB FUNERAL HOME INC., 614-372-1927.

Lefty was a pleasant highlight on my monthly Meals on Wheels route. His blue sporty car reassured us that Lefty's house was just ahead! He will be missed. My sincere sympathy to Lefty's friends and family.
