Leroy Monroe

Monroe Leroy Monroe, age 65, Sunrise July 16, 1950, Sunset March 26, 2016 in Columbus, OH. Preceded in death by his mother Belausa Monroe and sister Joyce Monroe. Survived by his brother, Louis Monroe; Kim Crocket; nieces, Effie (Brian) Davis, Tanya Monroe; nephews, Louis Monroe Jr., Eddie (Jeannie) Monroe; nieces, Roberta (Robert) McCrae, Lisa Johnson; two special friends, Catherine and Malva Alexander; and a host of great nieces, nephews, and friends. Leroy Monroe was born in Hurt, Virginia in 1950. He served in the Army and fought in Vietnam. During his time in the Army he worked as a carpenter and a utility worker. At 65 years old he worked daily as an electrician and also did some carpentry. He will be remembered in many ways by different people but loved among them all. Leroy will truly be missed.
