Mabel Branham Obituary

BRANHAM Mabel Agnes Branham (Wilson), passed away peacefully at Riverside Hospital on Thursday, February 19, 2009, one day after her 85th birthday. She was born in McDowell, Ky. and grew up in Glenhayes, W.Va. She and her husband Jack moved to Columbus, Oh. after high school. Their generous spirit guided many of their brothers and sisters to move to Columbus, also. Mabel is preceded in death by her husband Jack, parents Maxie and Walter Wilson, and brothers Hugh Ed, Dewey and Dennis Ray Wilson. She is survived by sister, Lou Hutchison; and brother, John H. Wilson; daughter, Karen Pfeiffer and son-in-law, John Pfeiffer; grandchildren, Justin and Lindsey Groves; and great-grandson, Kaleb Jack Groves; and many more wonderful family members and good friends. Mabel was an avid bridge player and cook. A graveside service and interment took place in the John H. Wilson Cemetery in Louisa, Ky. on Saturday, February 20, 2009. Memorial donations may be made to Syntaxis Youth Homes, 5900 A Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, Oh. 43229.

Karen, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I have fond and funny memories of your Mom and Dad when we were growing up. Your mom was a good person and I know you will miss her terribly.
