Marcella Parrish Obituary

PARRISH Marcella Parrish (Prater) passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the age of 74. Marcella was raised in Williamson, West Virginia and was a graduate of Liberty High School. She moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she lived, worked and nurtured her family for over 50 years. She was a faithful member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Emily Parrish, sisters, Willard P. Chandler, Effie Mae Parrish, Elizabeth Alexander, Algie McKee, Merrilyn Young, and brother Joe Parrish. Marcella leaves to celebrate her life her daughter, Billie Jean Eberhardt, grandsons, Clyde Eberhardt, IV and Quentin Emile Eberhardt, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, with whom she shared her quiet strength and unshakable faith. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2005, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 639 East Long Street. Family will receive friends at the church from 6 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Michael Bean officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Crosby-Edwards Funeral Home.
