Marguerite Ann Gerstner

Gerstner Marguerite Ann Gerstner, age 91, passed away peacefully February 3, 2017 at her son's home surrounded by family. Born to Charles and Catherine Studer November 14, 1925 in New Lexington, Ohio and graduated from St. Mary school in German Village. She met her future husband Frank when she was a bridesmaid in friend Lois' wedding and by the time the wedding arrived, she and Frank had set their own wedding date of April 21, 1951. Marguerite was a world traveler with her best friends and card club ladies and passed that love of travel on to her children. She volunteered at St James the Less school when her children were growing up; was a member of the Women's Auxiliary for the Columbus Fire Department. She was proud that all three of her children were in Scouting and loved to camp on the weekends with family and friends. Marguerite is survived by son, Michael (Karin) Gerstner; granddaughter, Maggie Gerstner; grandson, Matthew Flynn, all of Glendale Wisconsin; daughter, Ann Gerstner-Karimy (Reza); grandsons, Arman and Aiden Karimy, all of Gahanna, Ohio; brother, Louis Studer, Peoria, Az; sister, Dorothy (John) Macioci; and sister, Eleanor Conlon of Ohio. She has many nieces and nephews from the Gerstner and Studer families spread throughout the United States. Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank Gerstner and son Frankie Gerstner. Mass will be Friday, February 24, 4 p.m. at St. Matthew Catholic church, 807 Havens Corner, Gahanna, OH, with a luncheon following at the church.
