1927 - 2018
Marian Louise (Franz) Rapp, 91, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was born June 23, 1927 to the late Helen and Harold Franz in Massilon, OH. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bill and sisters Leona and Joanne. Surviving are her sons, Mike (Mary Ann) Rapp and Steve (Kathy) Rapp; grandchildren, Angela (Steve), Michael (Carissa), Eric and Johnathon; one great-grandson, Cole; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marian helped raise money for the family by cleaning and stretching lace curtains. She put her cooking skills to work for the Columbus Public Schools, where she retired as the manager. Among her many talents, she sewed, sang for years in the church choir, prepared many meals for church functions, and knitted caps for newborns at Riverside Hospital. Marian cherished her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them, especially at the Henderson family reunions. Service will take place on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11 AM in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 6176 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus OH 43229 with the Pastor Kathi Herington officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5-7 PM in the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street Worthington, OH 43085. Interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Many thanks to the nurses at Capitol City Hospice for their skills and compassion extended to Marian and family. Lastly, the family wants to give a special thanks to their dear friend, Pat Walker, for the admirable job as serving as Marian's POA. Rest in peace dear Marian!
