Mark Williams Obituary

Williams, Mark
1989 - 2021
Mark was born on June 14, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio and lived fervently every second of the day. Mark studied communications and psychology at the Ohio State University. He was an accomplished artist, musician, model and health care provider. He had as many friends as the stars in the sky and knew no stranger. Mark was passionate about God and the bible; studying, discoursing and ministering the word of God both in teaching and in music. Mark will be remembered for his humor, his warm smile, his gentle spirit, and his immense heart. His life will be celebrated May 11, 2021 at Columbus Christian Center, 2300 N. Cassady Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43219, at 3pm with Pastor David C. Forbes, Jr. as the officiant and Pastor Michael Lester, sharing tributes. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E Long St. In lieu of flowers, consideration to support the established educational trust for Noelle Williams, can be made by visiting Mark's memorial celebration wall at www.diehl-whittaker.com.

I can't believe it's been a year. Mark introduced me to my favorite hobby of watching Anime. I was over at his house for a sleepover as a teen, and Mark showed me the animes Bleach and Spirited Away. I fell in love with it and Mark is responsible for my ongoing passion for the animated story as art appreciation. Thank you my friend.

I only just found out a month too late to attend the funeral. I've known Mark and the Williams family since we were kids. My heart goes out to his family. I feel a deep sense of loss. One of the most fun occasions in my childhood was going paintballing with Mark and his brother and father. More recently we have stayed generally in touch, though sporadically. My last outing with him was on the occasion of my 30th Birthday when we went to Akai Hana in Columbus. It was a grand reunion, and I shall cherish that moment forever. It was Mark who introduced me to Japanese animation and art, and who inspired my ongoing passion for it. I cannot thank him enough for that. Although I'm not religious and don't believe in an afterlife, I do believe that the world was forever changed for the better because Mark was here. He lived a virtuous life, and we will remember him for it.

Mark was a very good young humble man. The time we had together meant a lot. He comes from a very close knit family. I thank God to be a part of this family with my two daughters. God has a great Angel in heaven.
