To Marla, Im just hearing of this and my heart aches. So many memories at pleasant green baptist church with you. I remember singing this song with you and my sister in law and the words were so powerful. "May his peace be with you, til we meet again. Til we reach that distant shore, where we'll shed a tear no more. May he give you strength to endure, til we meet again. I love you like a sis and you are and will be truly missed.

To Kim and her family.

I know this is sudden and most certainly unexpected but it is my sincere hope that you find strength in the love you 2 shared. Marla was the life of the party WHERE EVER she went and we all should have that same mentality. I feel so blessed for having her in my life. I kept my promise to her and that means so much to me. There arent enough words to describe how much Me and the girls will miss her. There is no one who can say she wasn't loved. Not one.

To the Snow and Rains Families,

Come Ye Disconsolate

"Come ye disconsolate
Where'er ye languish,
Come to the Mercy Seat,
fervently kneel.
Here bring your wounded hearts,
here tell your anguish;
Earth has no sorrow
that heaven cannot heal."
(Hymn by Thomas Moore 1816)

May the comfort of the Holy Spirit rest upon you.

A Reminiscence

YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.

May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.

Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;

To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.
