I first met Mary in 1998 while atending an exercise class at Lincoln Lodge. I remember visiting her when she had her knees replaced. More recently I enjoyed her in the Silver Sneakers class at the Hilltop YMCA. She always had a smile on her face and loved to share stories about her family (son & grandson). She will be missed in the front row of the class and also Sunday lunch at the Old Trail. Love and prayers to you. Rosalee Lowery

We are saddened to hear of Mary's passing. When we started to work on the South High School summer picnic, she was right there to befriend us and make us feel welcome. We enjoyed working with her and will miss her positive attitude and especially her smile.

I worked with Mary many years ago at Frigidaire. She was delightful and I loved her and her sense of humor. I've thought of her often over the years. My condolences to her family and friends

Mary D - that was what we called her. She told us jokes that were unbecoming even though my husband, Mike was her minister. What's funny is, that those are the only jokes I remember. She was with him the day before he passed. I'm sure there is quite the reunion in Heaven knowing how much they both loved Jesus. Love you! Mary D!
Family and Friends, Take comfort in knowing that Mary D still has genuine love for you!

Mary was an inspiration to all the lives she touched. She never met a stranger and she was always ready to help anyone in need. There will be an empty chair in Sunday School, but
her spirit will always be with each and everyone of us at Columbia Heights United Church. Mary was indeed a disciple of Jesus. I will miss her.

I am sadened by your loss. I remember her from my teen years when her mom and Bob were our Sunday School teachers in Galloway. I know the sadness you feel when you lose a mom. Sending love and prayers to the family.

I met Mary last weekend when I filled in at Doctors hospital and am sad to read of her passing. Though we spent little time together she made a lasting impression. Such a sweet soul who shared with me how blessed her life was and that when the time came she was ready to meet Jesus and experience the wonders of Heaven. I hope knowing that she is among Jesus and the loved ones she was looking forward to seeing again brings you peace during this difficult time.

Mary will be so missed at Columbia Heights Church. She was always there to volunteer for anything that needed done. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a huge heart. We all love her and already miss her. (Our little joke was that she always called me Sally although my name is Sue. Even after she got used to me being Sue, she would still call me Sally, just to be ornery.)
