1942 - 2019
Michael Downey Guerin, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 9, 2019. He was born to Clifford and Laura Guerin in Detroit, Michigan. He owned and operated a barbershop and India-Oak Bar & Grill for many years. Mike was an active member of the Catholic Church and Charity Newsies. He served in the US Marine Corps. He was an OSU football fan and avid golfer. Mike is survived by his brothers, Richard and Mark (Carole) Guerin; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his spouse Donna "Dody", sister Laura and brother Joseph Guerin. Private Services will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made in Mike's honor to Charity Newsies, Columbus, Ohio. Condolences may be made to the family at www.rutherfordfuneralhome.com

Mike and his red car are missed. We knew that he loved golf and it was always interesting to watch how dark his tan became as the season progressed.
Clocks could almost be set around 6:30 as he faithfully went to breakfast with his dear friend. I will miss hearing him at 6:30 and during the day talking with him outside and just seeing him quietly sitting in his chair near the front of his home. Condolences to his family and to his friends as we said "There he went" and others in the Spirit World lovingly said, "He is here!"

I have known Mike for 52 years since he was my barber when I was in 9th grade. I played on one of his many softball teams and many rounds of golf. I will miss him dearly. God Bless him.

I have known Mike for 35 years. Just a wonderful man . Going to miss him waving at me as he drove down our trailer park ! RIP
