Nancy Randles Obituary

RANDLES Nancy Grace Randles, 79, of Avon Park, Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Coshocton, Ohio. Born October 15, 1925 in Briggsdale, of Franklin County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Curtis Charles and Martha May (Grace) Purdum. On July 13, 1947 she married Robert Gene (Beanie) Randles who preceded her in death on October 1, 1992. In 1946 she graduated from Mount Carmel School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Coshocton Memorial Hospital for 41 years. She retired in 1987 as charge nurse of the fourth floor. Nancy was also a member of the Ohio Nurses Association, Grace United Methodist Church, and an affiliate member of the United Methodist Church in Sebring, Florida. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Pete and Clyde, and her sister Flora (Parshall). She is survived by her three daughters, Sally R. Wood (Michael Weese) of Grandview, Rebecca R. (Knox) Porteus of Coshocton and Amy J. (Mark) Gergley of Blacklick; nine grandchildren, Mirullia, Lauren, Brian, William, Elizabeth, Grant, Tyler, Joseph, and Ann Marie; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie; and a brother, Clarence Purdum of Sebring, Florida. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 7, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at GIVEN-DAWSON FUNERAL HOME in Coshocton, Oh., as well as one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in Coshocton with the Reverend Craig Redecker officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, Oh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 422 Walnut St., Coshocton, Oh. 43812 or Hospice of Coshocton County, P.O. Box 1284, Coshocton, Oh. 43812.
