To all my siblings, and other members of my family. Even though I wasn't able to be with you on the 'grand day" of father's homecoming to be with the Lord. I want you to know that I was with you in love and spirit. I'm so glad that I had an opportunity to see and visit with dad, my sister Beverly, "Little D" and her wonderful five (5) children on a warm and sunny day on Monday, September 5, 2007. Yes, that was Labor Day weekend, and it was truly a Labor of Love, that filled the air that day. The sun was bright and so was his smile. I will always remember his laugh and the twinkle in his eyes, when I appeared at his door. I realize that I haven't had the opportunity to meet; Jeff, Paul, Oliver III, and Suzie. But I know that we will meet someday, and it will be like we always knew each other, and dad will be smiling upon us when we meet.
My love to all of you, and may God Bless each and everyone of you!
Your beloved sister, that will always love all of you!

To the Family of Oliver B. Duff Jr.
It is by and through the Grace and Mercy of God that we are able to stand in prayer with this family. We all lived on Chesapeake Ave. many years ago when your grandfather was still living; Oliver Duff Sr. My sister and I used to babysit for Charlie Mae and Jr. We pray that you all will remember all those good things your father said and did, cherish those beautiful memories. He took them with him and you can keep them with you as well. Be blessed and know that you all are highly favored by God. We love you and are praying God's richest blessings towards all of you.
When you see the sun piercing so boldly through the clouds,
Know that it's me proclaiming my love for you, as you hear my voice in your hearts instead of out loud.
When you feel that soft gentle breeze as it rustles through the trees,
Think of me.
And when the mountains get too high and the valleys too low, you know where to go.
You know who to call, for you will always discover, God makes no mistakes after all.
So weep not for me, for I am gone now, and God will bring you all peace somehow.
No more pain, no more sirens screaming loud,
No more pushing or shoving, or rushing crowds.
Just a beautiful presence and a beautiful song,
One that comforts my soul all day long.
Though this is my final earthly greeting,
Weep not for me, for there has been a "special" banquet prepared; I'm the "special" guest and it's Jesus Christ I'm meeting.
"WEEP NOT FOR ME"
Love,

I will always remember Duff sitting in the chair across from me, stapling flyers together, telling stories from his past. He was kind and gentle, always the gentleman. "yes maam, no maam". I grew to love him in the few years that I knew him. I miss seeing him everyday and picking his lunch for him. I always made sure he ate good. Lots of chicken. He was my friend and confidante. I loved to tease him and make him laugh. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven. What a beautiful place he is in. "See ya soon, butterscotch".
