Orlando Armstrong Obituary

ARMSTRONG Orlando Jerry Armstrong, age 73, born January 26, 1993, was called home for Eternal Rest and Peace in Heaven with parents Jerry and Ludie Armstrong, sisters Edith Daniels and Bertha Mae Armstrong, on July 13, 2006, at Heartland Victorian Village. Orlando served in the U.S. Army of which he was honorably discharged in 1955. Orlando was a former employee with the Columbus Windows, Western Electric, and the Isabelle Ridgeway Nursing Home. He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Jerry Armstrong of Pasadena, Calif., Ricky Wilson of Portland, Oreg.; daughters, Sharon Williams of Pasadena, Calif., Karen Armstrong of Portland, Oreg. and Regina Armstrong of Columbus; one aunt, Dorothy Dixon; 8-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Also surviving are many others, including nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends, special nephews, Devon (Kelly) Felder, Sr. and Ernest Felder. Homegoing Celebration Service 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at the Refuge Missionary Baptist Church, 400 North 20th Street, where the family will friends from 12Noon until time of service. Interment Evergreen Burial Park. The family wishes to express a special note of thanks to the James Cancer Center and to Heartland Victorian Village.

I wish I could be there in our time of grief, but just know that "unc" has moved on to a better place to be with his "MAMA".

I love each and every one of you.
