Otis Crowder Obituary

CROWDER Reverend Otis James Crowder, Jr., peacefully made his transition on the morning of Monday, July 11, 205 under the care of High Banks Care Center and Harbor Light Hospice. After many years of pastorial leadership and counseling, he will be remembered as a man of the people. Due to illness, he retired as Pastor and renewed his membership at Reeb-Hosack Baptist Church, where he first ministered and taught his first biblical lesson sermon as a young man. He is survived by his daughter, Zyneene L. Williams (Edward L. Martin) of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Vivian Crowder; sisters-in-law, Sherdena and Erma Crowder; loving aunt, Ann Julia Anderson; special friend, Mirian Crowder; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Transition Service 1 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2005 at Reeb-Hosack Community Baptist Church, 258 Hosack Street, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of service. Dr. John S. Little, Pastor, officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street.

My last great Uncle 'Hoover' whom I will always know him as will be missed. I'll always remember you picking on us ALL the time and the time we both got together for your guidance class which was extremely helpful as well as encouraging. I'll carry you in my heart always.
