Patrick Wm Ellis Sr.

Ellis Patrick Wm Ellis, Sr., age 68, at Grant Medical Center. Graduated Bishop Ready High School in 1965, married his high school sweetheart, and signed with the Chicago White Sox; attended the University of Cincinnati. Patrick loved the outdoors, and enjoyed playing and coaching sports. Patrick was an avid golfer and later in life volunteered at Mentel Memorial Golf Course (Bolton Field). Patrick never met a stranger, and he knew every back road in the state of Ohio. Patrick was good natured, loving and ornery, and loved Notre Dame football. Preceded in death by parents George and Katherine Ellis, brothers Richard and Michael Ellis, sister Ellen Lane, nephews Joseph and Michael and niece Susan Marie. Survived by wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (Fitzpatrick) Ellis; children, Michael (Brittany) Ellis, Patrick (Dorothy) Ellis, Jr., Sean Ellis, Megan (Matt) Gorman, and Anne Kate (Michael) Donovan; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Matthew (Emily), Zachary, Christopher, Amber, Samuel, Austin, Erin, Beatrice, Lillian, Trisha, Kyle (Karena), Nicholas, Nathan, Tamsyn, Thomas, and Baby Boy Donovan, expected in May; great-grandchildren, Kelton, Adelynne, Collene, Bentley, and Noah; brother, Terry (Sandy) Ellis; sisters-in-law, Pamela and Dixie; and brother-in-law, Tom; numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
