Peter C. Gagas

Gagas Peter C. Gagas, age 85, was born on March 9, 1929 in Flint, Michigan. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on March 10, 2014 at Mt. Carmel East with his family at his side. Married to his lovely wife Marika of 60 years. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Air Force veteran and served in the Korean War. Golden Gloves Champion. Retired owner of the Union Grill establishment of 30 years. Preceded in death by parents Christos and Annetta Gagas, sister Mary and brother-in-law Elias, nephew George Ikimis, brother-in-law Albert Yankulov. Peter is survived by wife, Marika; daughters, Annette (Dr. Nicholas) Varveris, Krissy (Dr. Thomas) Ranieri; three grandchildren, Anthony, Marika and Mika; sister, Phyllis Yankulov; several nieces and nephews in Columbus and Greece. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. High St. at 11:30 a.m. with Trisagion prayer service at 12:30 p.m. Fr. Demetrios Gardikes officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Arrangements by O. R. WOODYARD NORTHWEST CHAPEL.
