We were greatly saddened to learn of Pete's passing today. I have always had the utmost respect and the fondest memories of Uncle Pete growing up as a child and into adolescence. He kept me employed and engaged with odd jobs including the current Vatsures office building and staying out of trouble. He was a man of principal, integrity and character. He will be missed.

I met Pete when I came to Delaware in 1959. I was City Attorney while he was Judge and had many cases before. He was a capable and honest attorney and I will miss him very much. My condolences to Cris and the family. Bob Coldren

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Vatures passing. I just learned of it today and I am sorry I couldn't attend his services. Mr. Vatures was our parents attorney through out the time that they owned many restaurants. Him and my Dad became good friends over the years and he handled my Dad's estate when he passed. Our Mom passed away in 2010 and I had Stephen handle her estate. From my family to the entire Vatures family we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and Thank you Peter for all your years of service to the public.

Vatsures Family.

I have known Pete all my life and he was a great person and I considered him a good friend. I grow up across the street from him on N. Franklin in the late 40's and 50's. I live out of state now and it was always a joy when I would run into him on the St. He always had time to talk. I will miss him. The worlds a little poorer now. My prayers are with his family.
