Ralph M. Hedrick

HEDRICK Ralph M. Hedrick, 77, of Perrysville, formerly of Mt. Vernon and Columbus, died September 28, 2012 at his home. Mr. Hedrick was born December 17, 1934 in Decatur, IL the son of the late Ralph Richard and Esther (Parks) Hedrick. He was a US Navy veteran. He was an electrical contractor and owner of the Hedrick Electric Company of Columbus. He was a member of the former Broad Street Christian Church, Columbus. He was a faithful 25-year member and sponsor of Alcoholics Anonymous, attending meetings in the Franklin, Knox and Ashland County areas. One of Ralph's favorite mottos was,"Just another day in paradise". He is survived by his wife, Carolyn R. (Vitateau) Hedrick, whom he married Dec. 18, 1967; four sons, Chris (Ruth) Bodyke of Bellevue, Michael (Faye) Bodyke of Orient, Matthew (Shirley) Bodyke of Mt. Vernon, and Joseph (Tina) Hedrick of Loudonville; four daughters, Nancy (Steve) Meeker of Ashland, Terri (Paul) Braucher of Galloway, Robin (Matthew) Walker of Lexington, and Desiree Hedrick-Bodyke of Ft. Knox, KY; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Obert of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Frank Hedrick and one sister Barbara Fletcher.
