Raymond Schick Obituary

SCHICK Raymond B. Schick, age 94, of Westerville, Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at St. Ann's Hospital. Born September 6, 1911 in Westerville. Retired teacher, coach, athletic director and dean of boys; serving Sunbury, Pataskala, Middletown, Newark and Whitehall. A referee in high school and college football and basketball. Graduate of Westerville High School where he played football, basketball and track, and Otterbein College where he received 15 letters in 3 sports. Member of Church of the Messiah United Methodist and Otterbein "O" Club. Survived by wife, Dorothy; daughter, Suzanne (Brooks) Walker of Largo, FL; son, John (Sharon) Schick of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Ray (Peggy) Schick of Sunbury, Donja Schick of Reynoldsburg, Jon (Kim) Walker of Rogers, AR, Dori (Joel) Berg of Aurora, IL; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandson Paul Schick. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville, Saturday, May 27, 2006, 1-3 p.m., where memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Rev. Stan Fawley officiating. Private interment, Otterbein Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church of the Messiah or Otterbein "O" Club.
