Dear Arlene and family,
I was so sorry to have to take Bob's obit, but if it had to be done I'm glad I could be of service, I think he would have wanted it that way. I shall always remember the good conversations we would have under the guise of working (smile). May peace be with you and your family during this trying time, and please remember, I am still your friend. Carole.

Dear Arlene and Family,
I just learned of Bob's death and was so sorry to hear I had lost a dear friend. I know that you and the family have been through so much during his illness. The last time we spoke you had told me how things were going. Having gone through it with my mother-in-law I shared your frustrations and concern.

Bob had one of the best sense of humors I knew of and I never visited the business without receiving a stock supply of your latest campaign paraphenalia or a few good jokes. Our years of fellow membership in the AMVETS and working downtown with the Department and Paul always led a path to you or Bob.

Trust you have my family's deepest condolences and prayers and trust even more that God will take care of Bob with open hands. In fact, they are probably planning their next trick together even as we speak.

Hope to see you in the near future and hope you are enjoying the retirement. Breath easy and be thankful that your marriage and life was a blessing and inspiration to others. Being in Chillicothe I did not get the information timely, but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Melanie

My condolences to the Shoemaker Family. As the Owner/Funeral Director of Shoemaker Funeral Home, Bob burried nearly all of my family. Bob was a good and honest man. Bob had been an ambulance driver, special deputy with Franklin County and a very talented mortician reconstuctionist. I will miss you my friend.
