Robert John Vohlers

VOHLERS Robert "Bob" John Vohlers, born October 30, 1952, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2009, after a long, courageous battle with leukemia. Bob was a loyal, devoted husband to his wife of 31 years, Martha (Hrivnak), and a dedicated, loving father to his cherished children, Ann Elizabeth and Robert Andrew. Bob's interest in Information Technology spanned many years as he served in various capacities at CompuServe, RFI and the State of Ohio. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved nephew Joseph Robert Vohlers. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Vohlers of Palm Coast, Fla.; sister, Susy and children, Ryan, Megan and Logan Bleyl; brother, Bill (Hillary) and children, Aaron and Elissa; brother, Ric (Dianne) and children, Colleen, Cullen and Greta. Bob is also survived by his wife's mother, Annette Hrivnak and his sister-in-law, Catherine (Tim) Warren and children, Andrew and Elizabeth. Bob's love for his family and others combined with his empathy, wit, curiosity and love of life will be forever remembered and treasured. Friends may visit from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2009 at RUTHERFORD FUNERAL AT POWELL, 450 West Olentangy St., (Powell Rd./St. Rt. 750/ 1/4 mile east of Sawmill Pkwy.), Powell, Oh. 43065. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 at St. Brigid of Kildare Church, 7179 Avery Rd., Dublin, Oh. 43017. The Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Hendricks Celebrant.
