1934 - 2018
Roberta J. Bass, age 84, passed away Friday June 29, 2018. Roberta is predeceased by her parents Charles Griffith and Sophie (Whitie) White, brother James Griffith and great-granddaughter Morgan Johnson. She is survived by her children, Kent A. Hanscel, Cheryl I. Hanscel, Michele L. Holycross; grandchildren, Serena Blount, Melissa (Andy) Turba, Bruce Johnson, Roberta Johnson, Bo Holycross, Emily Hanscel; great-grandchildren, Gage Johnson and Elise Blount. Roberta retired from Thompson Electronics and was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed playing cards especially Euchre and camping with her family and friends. Friends and family may call Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 11 am-1 pm with a funeral service directly following at 1 pm at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City OH. Roberta, you were full of life, ornery, out-spoken, and always fun to be around. I count you as one of my best friends. It was hard seeing you suffer the past few years. You were always a go-getter, working three part-time jobs in your eighties. What a role-model for anyone whining about not being able to get work. You always kept a neat house and crocheted gifts for your family and friends even while you were very ill. I sure will miss your smiling face and positive attitude. We used to like watching Steve Harvey on "Family Feud." You made the best lunche for guests. What an incredible woman you were. You were beautiful inside and out. I will miss you so much.
