Roger Endicott Obituary

ENDICOTT Roger Dale Endicott, Sr., 66, of Wheelersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV. Born February 22, 1944 in Ethel, West Virginia, to Marion and Vivian Endicott, Mr. Endicott was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Scott Endicott, and two brothers Donald R. Endicott and Garry L. Endicott. He attended Logan County Schools, was retired from Amherst Coal Company at Man, West Virginia and faithfully attended Swauger Valley Freewill Baptist Church in Sciotoville. Mr. Endicott occupied himself in his retirement years tending his mini farm, traveling, and working on home improvement projects for himself and his neighbors. Mr. Endicott is survived by his wife, Ernestine; two daughters, Dreama Jarrell (Jack) of Chapmanville, WV and Beverly Endicott of Davin, WV; three sons, Daniel R. (Sherry) of Logan, WV, Roger Dale, Jr. (Sherry) of Davin, WV, Kevin (DeLynn) of Man, WV; three step-sons, Ernest G. Marcum (Kim) of Hanover, PA, Lorne Marcum (Sylvia) of Austin, TX and Duane Marcum (Debbie) of Marengo, OH; one sister, Joyce McCray (Parker) of Charleston, WV; three brothers, Bobbie of Michigan, Jack (Teresa) of Columbus and Thomas (Midgie) of Pecks Mill, WV; seven grandchildren, Katrina Jarrell, Andrew Jarrell, Roger David Endicott, Jordan Endicott, Rachael Endicott, Jacob Endicott and Christina Marcum; special aunt, Virginia Romans of Huntington, WV; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at ERWIN-DODSON-ALLEN FUNERAL HOME in Minford with Rev. Mike Simpson and Rev. Ron Parker officiating. Burial will be at Gilliland Family Cemetery near Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
