Ronald Rocco Obituary

ROCCO Ronald S. Rocco, O.D., age 71, of Corona, CA., passed away December 1, 2010. Ron was born on October 11, 1939 in Canton. After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1964, Ron practiced for many years in Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland. He was known for solving vision problems for people who had never seen clearly. Through the years he remained a true Buckeye to-the-core. Due to multiple health issues, Ron's last years were very challenging, but through his faith, his love and his will, he endured and "played the cards he was dealt". Even in poor health he never lost his focus and his will to live. He is survived by his caring wife, Pamela, of Corona, CA; his children, Brad (Linda), of Bexley, Thomas (Pamela), of New Albany, Jennifer (JR) Rocco Thompson, of Galena, Michael, of Corona, CA; his loving grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, Elizabeth and Joseph. Ron is also survived by his sister, Marjorie Rocco Berk of Westerville. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Michael and Mollie Rocco. His love will be carried on in the lives of his children and grandchildren, whom he now can take care of from above. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Ron.
