Ruth Margulis Obituary

MARGULIS Ruth Margulis, 97, passed away January 9, 2011. Ruth was born in Columbus on May 23, 1913 to the late Lena and Harry Margulies. She was preceded in death by her sister Edith Margulies and brothers Julius Margulies and Louis "Clem" Margulis. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Greg (Mary) and Harry (Joann) Margulies, Cheryl (Larry) Simon, Joyce (George) Becker and Lisa (Bill) Bendler. Ruth graduated from South High School and attended Ohio State University. At one time Ruth owned a women's dress shop near downtown Columbus and was a real estate agent for many years. In retirement she devoted herself to her family. Ruth got great comfort from her wonderful caregivers at Wexner Heritage House, to whom the family is very grateful. Funeral service 1 p.m. Monday, January 10 at EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. Burial to follow at the New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. In memory of Ruth, donations are suggested to Congregation Tifereth Israel or Wexner Heritage House. Online guestbook at www.epsteinmemorial.com
