To the Upperman Family : Ruthie and my mom Bea Dorn and your dad and my stepdad Clyde Dorn were the best of friends and did almost everything together. They were totally dedicated to the VFW and I remember watching the 4 of them march in a parade in downtown Columbus. Both of the guys were carrying flags bigger than both of them and as they took one foot forward the wind would drive them 2 steps back, while always smiling and very proud to be Americans. Following the passing of both Clyde and Ray, Ruthie continued to be my mom's best friend altering her clothes and didn't the two of them have a "catering" business together? What a pair they were always dedicated to the other. When my mom passed Ruthie helped me complete her obituary and we consoled each other for some time to follow. I have not seen her for years however she is always in my thoughts and now the 4 of them are together again. May your memories be held in a smile forever. Christine McCoy daughter of Bea Dorn

BRUCE AND STEVE IAM REALLY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR MOM'S PASSING. YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE ALWAYS HAD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART. I HAVE CHILDHOOD MEMORIES OF WHEN YOUR DAD AND MOM WERE MY COACHES ON THE WHITE SOX LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL TEAM. I STILL LOOK AT THE LITTLE TROPHY THAT WE ALL GOT IN 1960. I REMEMBER WHEN THEY TOOK ALL OF US TH SEE THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS. STEVE AND BRUCE MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES AND MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
