Preceding him in death are his PaPa Joe Carbetta and PaPa Adin Benedict and "Duke", his beloved Doberman. Friends and family are welcome at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2015, at RADER-McDONALD-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 West Main St., West Jefferson, Ohio. To Laura and Gerry, I am so sorry. There are no words I can say that can make this go away. As parents we protect, guide and love them. I remember baby-sitting Ryan in Kindergarten and my son Bryan and Ryan going off to school. I pray God's love and peace will be with you and your family.

Christie, Jake, Sarah,Nicole,Ashley,Trisha and Bella. No words can take your pain away I can't describe how it was to see all of you have smiles on your faces. All I can do is thank Ryan for making you all so happy. I will treasure all the fun times we all had. Even after death Ryan can still make us all laugh just by thinking of all the goofy stuff he would do. Just know I love you all and I am always here for each and everyone of you.

Also Ryan's step children need to be mentioned all 5 of them had their own special relationship with him. Jake, Sarah, Nicole, Ashley, and Trisha thought of Ryan like their own Dad. They had their own inside jokes and special memories.

Fred and I are so sorry for your loss. I remember when he came to pick up Shannon for their 1st date, he had an amazing smile and I liked him instantly. As time went on he and I would discuss world views. He was so smart he just knew things way above his years. When I look at our grandchildren I see his smile and charm in Aidan, Joe has his ability to understand the world beyond his years and Autumn she is fearless and has his athletic ability. We never stopped loving him.

I hadn't seen Ryan in many years. He was married to my niece and the father of three fantastic children by her. But I remember how adorable he was. He had charisma, was personable, and was a likable young man. I'm so very sad to hear of his loss. Condolences to my niece, nephews, and the extended Benedict family.
