Samuel Wilson Armstead

Armstead Samuel Wilson Armstead, age 68, of Canal Winchester, went to meet his Savior August 30, 2015. Born February 15, 1947 in Nitro, West Virginia to the late George and Cora Amrstead, he was a devoted Christian and member of the Church of Christ in Pataskala. Sam was a Vietnam Veteran and belonged to the Canal Winchester VFW. He loved spending time in his shop working on his tractors. Preceded in death by his infant twin brother Daniel Armstead and sister Pauline Corson. Sam is survived by the love of his life and best friend of 42 years, Sharon; siblings, Alice (George) Morris, Calvin (Drema) Armstead, George (Linda) Armstead Jr., Milton (Dottie) Armstead, Robert (Mary) Armstead, Tom (Marsha) Armstead, Brian (Kathy) Armstead, John Armstead; special girls, Erin Ruth, Adrianne Persichetti, Ellie Hoecker and Paige Hughes; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday.
