Terry Wright Obituary
PARKER CITY - Terry Wright, 65, passed away from a sudden accident on Friday, May 6, 2016.
He was born on June 15, 1950 in Muncie, the son of Basil V. and Louise H. (Holt) Wright.
Terry graduated from Daleville High School. He worked for the Town Street Department of Parker City for forty-five years, lovingly known as the mayor of Parker City. He was a member of the Selma American Legion for twenty-five years, the Selma and Parker City Fire Department for forty-two years and Parker City Volunteer Committee for several years. Terry loved tractors, cats, farm implements, auctions and clerking at auctions.
Survivors include sister, Karen Wright (fiancé, Robert Opperman); sisters-in-law, Patricia Cook and Debbie Woodward (husband, Johnny); nieces and nephews, Missy Wright (husband, Jason), Matt Wright (wife, Toni), Marie Nunley (husband, Matt), Joel Six, Jason Six (wife, Melissa), Theresa Wright (Joe Ramey) and Wade Wright (wife, Kristi); and many great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David Rex Wright and Douglas Alan Wright.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Tony Arthur officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.
Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel or one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Parker City Fire Department, P.O. Box 593, Parker City, IN 47368.
