Thaddeus Zdzislaw "Ted" Dolengowski

Dolengowski Thaddeus "Ted" Zdzislaw Dolengowski, age 88, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. Ted was born August 9, 1928 to the late Ben and Marie (Michalski) Dolengowski. He was a Lieutenant in the US Army and a Korean War veteran. He is retired from GM after 39 years and in retirement worked twenty years as a starter at the NCR Country Club in Dayton. Ted was very proud to have renewed his wedding vows with his wife of 65 years this past November in Orlando. This past summer Ted also proudly participated in the Honors Flight Columbus to visit the Korean War Memorial in Washington D.C. He was a devoted husband and father, a wonderful Dzia Dzia, and loved his family dearly. Ted also enjoyed golfing, cooking, and his pet border collies, and was an avid Michigan Wolverines fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen June (Snyder) Dolengowski; children, Mark (Lori) Dolengowski, Lynn Dolengowski, David (Ann) Dolengowski, Jane (Kyle) Boynton, BethAnn (John) Ennis; grandchildren, Katie June (Greg), Michael, Lucas, Maddie June, Thaddeus, George, Jeshua, Elijah, Mary Beth, Elle June; great-grandchildren, Austin, Callie June. Ted's brother, George, precedes him in death. A visitation will be held on TUESDAY, January 31, 2017, 12 noon-1 p.m., at The Cross Walk Church, 751 Rosehill Road, Reynoldsburg, where his funeral will immediately follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor John Ennis officiating. Burial with honors in Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ted's memory to the Animal Resource Center in Dayton.
