One year ago today my heart broke more than you will ever know. I miss you still so much and think of you all the time...waiting on you to walk through the door at work...or just you calling me to talk about Cedar Point! Your nephew Jacob is getting so big and he is super cute. You would've been one of the best uncles ever! And Jenna is getting married in a few weeks, you would be so proud of her. I just wanted to say, if it wasn't for meeting you Tim, I would not have this amazing family I have today. Weird how certain relationships, choices, and events make your future.
The last time I spoke to you, you were telling me about your fiance and your plans on marrying on 07-07-07. We shared stories about my husband and children and your future plans on children of your own after you and your wife traveled the first couple years of marriage.
I am so sorry you were not able to experience that joy.
You are in a better place now.

Dear Jan and Denny,
We were on vacation when we heard about Tim, or we would have come to his Funeral Mass. I loved Tim while he was at St. Charles, but more importantly, he was always so very kind to my sweet Mom and Dad. He was always "watching out" for them, living next door. I have felt the pain of losing a close one and nothing can heal the ache but time. Even that doesnt really help. The only thing that can make you feel a little better is that he is in heaven. I never met him. But his eyes show me he was a happy funny cool guy. You sat beside for many years at Granville schools. And I am beside you now with your sorrow. Hang in there. I was lucky enough to have worked with Tim for the last year and a half. He was an amazing guy who just lit up a room. I got to meet Jen and Denny through him and it was obvious what a loving family and circle of friends he had. I will miss his daily ribbing and infectious smile. My heart aches over this tragedy and for all those who loved him.

Tim and I worked together for a couple of years at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease. While our paths have not crossed recently, I was saddened last evening when I saw the evening news. Tim was a great guy, always had a smile on his face and always willing to help others. My heart goes out to the entire Hartman family.
