Victorine Griffith

Griffith Victorine "Vicky" Griffith, 70, of Delaware, formerly of Upper Arlington, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013. She was born on April 21, 1943 in Luxembourg to the late Mary Bukovac Bonani (Jean Bonani) and Joseph Schoos. In 1961 Vicky was named "Miss Luxembourg" and competed in the "Miss Europe", "Miss World" and "Miss Universe" competitions. A great lover of horses, Vicky spent most of her life working with them. She raised American Morgan Horses and also ran two boarding stables in Powell, Ohio known as Victoria Highland Farms. She was a loving Mother and enjoyed spending time tending her garden, playing Euchre with her Card Club friends, and cheering on the OSU Buckeyes. Left to cherish Vicky's memory are her former husband, Elbert Griffith of Siesta Key, FL; five children, Diane Griffith (Jeffrey Febus) of Delaware, Steven Griffith of Delaware, Sandra (Ben) DeLong of Marietta, Jeffrey Griffith (Carri) of Dublin, and Debra (Garrett) Shafer of Delaware; 16 grandchildren, Justin, Morgan, JT, Madison, Carly, Cory, Kelly, Lauren, Eric, Kaylie, Kassidy, Kaleb, Chase, Ashby, Ethan, and Ryan; two brothers, Jean Schoos and Nicolas Bonani of Luxembourg; two sisters, Aveline (Jean) Schosger of France and Astrid Bonani of Egypt; brother-in-law, Dr. Donn W. (Gayle) Griffith; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, step father, father-in-law Garfield Griffith and mother-in-law Opal Griffith. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13 from 4-6 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service following at 6 p.m. at the SNYDER-RODMAN FUNERAL CENTER, 1510 W.
