Viola Sprague Obituary

SPRAGUE Viola W. Sprague, 92, of Jackson Center, Oh., died 8:03 a.m. February 7, 2007, at Logan Acres, Bellefontaine, Oh. Born August 30, 1914 in Shelby County, Oh., daughter of the late Samuel Adrian and Flossie A. Herring Woolley. On September 2, 1932, she married Homer Clark Sprague, who died April 10, 1965. Retired School Teacher with Jackson Center Schools, Jackson Center, Oh. Graduated from Miami University receiving her Bachelors and Masters degree. Member Jackson Center United Methodist Church, Jackson Center, Oh., American Club, Jackson Center, Oh., Shelby County Retired Teachers Association, Jackson Center Senior Citizens. Former Trustee of Jackson Center Library. Survived by son, Daniel Lee (Charlotte) Sprague, Jackson Center, Oh.; grandchildren, Michael Horvath, Worthington, Oh., Pam Horvath, Columbus, Oh., Michele (Robert) Jacobs, Jackson Center, Oh. and Gloria (Charles) Godfrey, Cridersville, Oh.; special grandson, Kevin Brandeberry; great-grandchildren, Tyler Godfrey, Danielle Jacobs and Olivia Jacobs; sisters, Betty Jane Millhoff, Albuquerque, N.M., Verna Mae Reese, Ft. Smith, Ark. and Virginia Ann (Emsley) Hatfield, Crossville, Tenn.; brother, Marvin "Amie" Woolley, Jackson Center, Oh. Preceded in death by daughter Ethel Horvath, son Homer Eugene, son-in-law Gene Horvath, great-granddaughter Kacie Godfrey, brothers Edgar, Virgil, George, Howard Emerson and Alfred B. "Sammie" and sister Velma. Visitation Friday, February 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SANFORD FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Center, Oh., and Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church. Service 1 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007, at Jackson Center United Methodist Church, Jackson Center, Oh. with Pastor Sylvia Hull officiating. Interment Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Oh. Memorial contributions to Jackson Center United Methodist Church Choir and Jackson Center Memorial Library. Condolences may be expressed at [email protected].
